SMALL CONVEYOR SYSTEM OVERVIEW
Our small production conveyor line is a 260 foot long powered, variable speed enclosed system. Its’ rated capacity is 25 pds per hook. This line is ideal for shorter runs, special finish or color work.
The part window is 12 feet long, 4 ½ feet high and 2 ¼ feet wide. Conveyor speed can be adjusted to meet specific product requirements. At 3 feet per minute, it takes about an hour and a half to complete a trip through the entire line.
The pretreatment system is a 5 stage enclosed spray system capable of dealing with steel or aluminum, depending on system setup. Zirconium pretreatment is also optionally available. Chemicals are provided by DuBois. An RO treated fresh water final rinse is the last step. The system is maintained in real time using automated dispensing equipment.
We use GEMA Optiflex 2 spray equipment for manual powder application.
Our gas fired convection cure oven offers IR boost capability when needed to ensure proper curing of the applied coating.
A full time inspector ensures customer finish requirements are met. Final packaging is done to standard or customer specified requirements.
JIT SMALL LINE WASHER SYSTEM
JIT Powder Coating’s small line conveyor washer is a heated 5 stage spray wash system with RO rinse. It is capable of using either traditional Iron Phosphate or Zirconium pretreatment chemistries based on end user requirements.
JIT SMALL LINE CURING SYSTEM
JIT Powder Coating’s small line conveyer has a combination IR / convection oven. This allows JIT to cure parts for all parts; even those that have substantial mass.
JIT SMALL LINE POWDER COATING SYSTEM
JIT Powder Coating’s small line conveyer uses GEMA Op-flex and Op-flex 2 manual application equipment. Powder is not reclaimed on the small line.
JIT SMALL LINE QC AND PACKAGING
Every part on JIT Powder Coating’s small line conveyor system is visually inspected prior to packaging. Additional QC tests are performed on each batch of parts for critical parameters such as film thickness, color and gloss. (See QC section for more details)
Parts are packaged per customer request using a variety of packaging materials (foam, paper, bags) and returned in containers or on pallets as received. Packaged parts are reviewed on final time when loaded to insure the finish parts will not be damaged in transportation.
